The Switch Movie Review.

Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman star in this comedy.  The film starts 7 years earlier where Jennifer plays Kassie Larson who decides she wants to move forward with her life and have a baby.  Jason's plays Wally, Kassie's best friend.  After an early turrets guy scene which was annoying me a little i didn't give this film much hope.  But on i watched.  Wally doesn't agree with Kassie's decision to go it alone and chose a sperm doner.  Wally even asks whats wrong with his sperm which Kassie said would be strange.  So Kassie chooses Roland (played by Patrick Wilson) who is everything that Wally isn't.  Hes outgoing, enjoys life and is athletic.  On the eve of inserting the um sperm Wally gets drunk and Kassie's pregnancy party and accidental spills the sperm cup.  So Wally replaces it with his own.  waking up next day he doesn't recall any of the previous nights events.  Fast forward 7 years and we find Kassie returning to New York with her son Sebastian (played by Thomas Robinson).  Becomes soon apparent to Wally that Sebastian is just like his and he slowly puts 2 and 2 together.  The Switch is an enjoyable heart filled comedy and Thomas Robinson does a great job at making you relate to a kid who's been brought up without a father figure in his life.  Definitely a return to form for Jennifer Aniston after the terrible The Bounty Hunter.  Jason Bateman seems to be on a role of good films and he does a 5 star turn here.  Co stars Juliette Lewis and Jeff Goldlum are a nice touch as the main characters friends.  Give the switch a go and hopefully you want want to switch off til its over.

  1. Okay, I wasn’t feeling the movie, but they cleaned it up by the end. I just wish I didn’t have to go through so much agony with the characters to get to a happy ending that was so abrupt I didn’t have time to even accept the ending; it’s just too cruel. As much as the movies are these days I would rather rent a movie from dishonline.com rather than see them in the theater. I save so much money that we can do some other things besides stay at home like our favorite, miniature golf. I found this movie when I was browsing on my employee DISH account but there are thousands of movies to choose from.
